11T Early difficulties

We receive a message from Ikarus. He needs a pilot to save the children and wants to talk to us. Let's visit him right away.

Ikarus tells you that you will need to dress up as a harpies. He will build a catapult in the meantime to swing you into the air so you can fly to the harpies' den. To make the bird costume, you will need the help of another player - a partner.

Once you find a partner, one of you needs to talk to Ikarus again and tell him the name of your partner. The other player will then get an IGM telling him to talk to Ikarus and confirm the alliance. Then you both need to talk to Ikarus again for more instructions.

From here the quest will be different for both players. The one who completes his part first will get a special reward. This will take at least 7 hours.

  • The player who started the alliance needs to gather 20 portions of beeswax. As the fire destroyed most of the bee hives on the island, you need to gather the wax on the mainland. Run around and look for beehives hanging in trees. Click them to collect a portion of wax. You can find 3 beehives every hour in the area between the beach near your house, the guild area, the robbers hut and the Teuton border. Be careful, you may get a bee sting instead of bees' wax!
  • The other player needs to gather 70 goose feathers. You can find 2 geese each hour on Thalassos. Each goose will give you 5 feathers so you can collect 10 feathers each hour. When you find a goose, take it to farmer Georgios and he will pluck the feathers for you. Do not be greedy, 2 geese per hour in just right.

When you have your part, return to Ikarus and hand them in. When Ikarus has all the feathers and wax he needs, he will make a set of wings. The player that finishes his part first receives the wings and will be allowed to fly to the harpies nest with them. But first some more preparations need to be done. You should both follow Ikarius to the fireplace in the mountains.

When you arrive talk to Ikarus and he will give you new instructions.

  • The player with the wings must find a special torch and a high location.
    • Odysseus will give you a torch.
    • Go back to the canyon where you heard the birds and the children before. Your character will say that this is the perfect location.
    • Now go back to Ikarus and leave the torch at the fireplace.
  • The other player needs to find fuel for a fire.
    • the barrel from the beach
    • a scrub near the third iron station
    • a bench beside Odysseus and the tavern
    • the compost heap in the flowery meadow near the tents
    • a ponderous branch in the east side of the burnt area above Krateos
    • hay from farmer Georgios
    • When you have all these items, bring them to Ikarus.

When you are ready, it's time to build a fire. Talk to Ikarus and he will tell you to put all the things you gathered onto the fireplace. Drag the items from your rucksack onto the circle of rocks.

The partner with the wings goes to the high location.

Now timing is important. The player below starts the bonfire:
Light the fire

The partner with the wings on the top of the mountain must start flying as soon as the bonfire has been started. He clicks anywhere in the canyon to start flying. When he is successful, he will end up on the other side of the canyon. There he will lower the drawbridge to allow his partner to join him. This quest is finished.

If the flight fails, just walk back to the top of the mountain and try again. The partner will need to get some more hay to be able to start another bonfire.
